CPR Classes
Tuckahoe Volunteer Rescue Squad (TVRS) is a certified American Safety & Health Institute (ASHI) training center. ASHI certification is equivalent to programs by the American Heart Association (AHA) and Red Cross. TVRS offers several classes on a regular basis at Station 1 (1101 Horsepen Road) that are open to the public and healthcare providers:
CPR-AED for the Community and Workplace
- Covers infant, child, and adult CPR and Automated External Defibrillation (AED) usage for the layperson

- 9 AM to approximately 5 PM.
- Exact class length will be dependent upon the number of participants.
- Five or more participants required to hold class.
- $30 per person (recertification available: $20).
- Book and certification card provided.
CPR, AED & First Aid
- Note: this class is the same as the CPR-AED Class for the Community and Workplace listed above, except that it also includes an additional 2 hour unit on first aid.
- $35 per person.
- Available to groups of 5 or more, upon request.
- Covers infant, child, and adult CPR, AED usage, plus basic first aid.
- Classes conducted at Tuckahoe Station 1, or at a location provided by you (open to negotiation).
