Tuckahoe Volunteer Rescue Squad provides 911 emergency medical services in Henrico County, Virginia. Our primary service area is the west end of the county, however at times, we are dispatched to other areas depending on ambulance availability.
Available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, we are an all-volunteer, non-profit organization that relies on donations from the community to provide funding for equipment, training, and medical supplies.

The Richmond Times-Dispatch recently featured a new protocol used by the Richmond Ambulance Authority that has been shown to improve survival rates and patient outcomes after suffering cardiac arrest. As part of our commitment to remain on the forefront of emergency medical care, Tuckahoe Volunteer Rescue Squad is one of the few EMS agencies in the Richmond area using this protocol for patients in cardiac arrest.
